A brutal pooch proprietor has been imprisoned after her pet was discovered visually impaired with draining injuries everywhere on his body.

Skitz, an English Bull Terrier, was found with genuine skin and eye conditions after proprietor Claire Louise Parkinson, 34, neglected to watch over him.

The canine was found by the RSPCA in August to be “so troubled” he must be put down, reported Gazette Live .

John Ellwood, indicting, said Skitz was found by a RSPCA officer on August 24 in a “ghastly condition”.

He said: “What is especially tragic about this case is that the litigants had been cautioned about appropriate nurture Skitz by the RSPCA beforehand.”

Mr Ellwood went ahead to portray how Skitz’ spine was obvious, his stomach kindled, his eyes red with yellow release, his feet were swollen with injuries and there were open and draining scab bruises everywhere on his body.


He said: “The sad way of this case is that Skitz at this point was visually impaired. His visual impairment was brought on by the litigant’s inability to acquire treatment for his eyes. Veins had developed at him since they were continually aroused.

“So troubled was he that the main course open was to do willful extermination .

“Unfortunately, along these lines, this is an instance of delayed disregard in the long run bringing about a definitive passing of a creature submitted within the sight of kids and irritated by an inability to regard counsel.”

Parkinson, a mother-of-two, was co-denounced with her ex-accomplice, Mark Neville Henry. There is a warrant exceptional for Henry’s capture.

Protecting Parkinson, Damian Sabino said that at the time, Parkinson was experiencing a separation and was “attempting to care for herself”.

Mr Sabino said: “She possibly could have accomplished more, could have lifted the canine up and taken it to the vets herself, however it was an extremely troublesome time.

“After the split, Mr Henry was returning each day to the house taking care of the canine.

“She had given the pooch some consideration herself however didn’t know how to manage the condition.”

Parkinson, of Doncaster Crescent, Stockton , conceded to two charges of bringing about superfluous enduring to an ensured creature.

She was given an eight-week jail sentence, and banned from keeping creatures forever.

Her other puppy, Polly, was requested to be taken and re-homed by the RSPCA.

Area Judge Helen Cousins said: “You were in charge of a pooch that endured long haul over a time of two years. You had been cautioned about it.

“It was such disregard that this puppy was visually impaired and must be put down. There’s no option sentence yet one of guardianship.”
